To make your presentation as persuasive as possible, and to ensure your nomination wins, here are some ideas.
MOST IMPORTANTLY - BE CREATIVE AND GOOD LUCK
To make your presentation as persuasive as possible, and to ensure your nomination wins, here are some ideas.
- Volume: Speak with a clear, firm and loud voice.
- Enthusiasm: Show the audience that you care and are excited. Remember to act professionally.
- Rehearse your content so that you don't have to refer to notes.
- Engage your audience, maybe ask for volunteers or ask questions.
- If needed use palm cards
- Utilise the technology available to you.
- Smartboard, Video cameras, Speakers, Iphones and Ipads.
- A suggestion is to make a voting app on the ipad so each audience member can vote for you.
- Think about your democracy unit and maybe create a ballot
- To increase your audience awareness you may like to construct some advertising material. Things like posters, pamphlets and incentives work great.
- Accuracy- Ensure you have done through research and you can answer almost any question that the board of directors will ask you.
- Confidence: Have confidence and determination that you nomination will win.
- Be fair: There can only be one winner and you know how much work each of your classmates have put into their presentation. When watching their presentation, listen carefully and ask questions in a respectful manner. You must try to reflect the positive qualities of your nominee.
- Dress up: make this task authentic by dressing up.
- Don't forget to view the rubric (click the word for a link) and give yourself a mark overall.
- You are permitted to make as many adjustments as you wish before the day of the speeches.
