This task requires you to independently research and write an historical narrative of a significant event in Australian history from the perspective of a person living during that time. You may choose whose perspective you wish to take (e.g. child, politician, workman, convict etc.)
Consider where your character may have been at the time, how old they were, what their feelings and experiences were relating to the event. A summary of the structure and language features of the text type is included below (Activity 2), to help you in writing the text.
